Movie Report
All The Best is a situational comedy directed by Rohit Shetty. The film is loaded with many actors and countless supporting star-casts yet it offers the bets deal to kill your time out with passable show. All The Best has the power and comedy punches that make the viewers laugh. The film is not a bore anywhere.
The story revolves around Dharam [Sanjay Dutt] who is step brother of Veer [Fardeen Khan]. Dharam is a business-honcho from London. Veer in greed of extracting extra pocket money from his step-brother Dharam, tries to lie about his single status and puts it forth as 'happily married'. He needs the money to support his rock band. His friend Prem [Ajay Devgan], a concept car expert, lends a helping hand in this falsely embossed projection.
Veer is in love with Vidya [Mugdha Godse] but has qualified in the hate list of her father. Prem is happily married to Jhanvi [Bipasha Basu] who takes care of his ancestor's out dated Gymnasium. Everything moves on smoothly for this gang until they take a loan from Tobu [Johnny Lever] to enter a car race. They lose the race, and have to repay the loan along with the Rs 5 lakh, which Tobu gamble on them winning the race. Veer and Prem decide to rent out Veer's bungalow.
The two get into a bigger soup when Veer's step-brother, Dharam pays a sudden visit to their place. Time does not give a chance and unavoidable circumstances arouse such situations that Prem's wife Jhanvi is mistaken for Veer's and Veer's girlfriend for Prem's.
What unfolds next is a series of comedy of errors leading to unexpected turmoils with fun-fare.
Like his previous films, director Rohit Shetty rests the story on multiple characters, with a dozen odd actors in supporting roles. With so many characters in the film, it generally tends to get confusing, but All The Best has an easy-to-comprehend story and a trouble-free and uncomplicated screenplay by Robin Bhatt and Yunus Sajawal.
Peformance wise, Ajay Devgan is superb. His comic timing is excellent. Sanjay Dutt has done his part very well. His chemistry with Ajay Devgan is brilliant. He seems involved in his character. Fardeen is okay as usual. Bipasha looks stunning and her performance is fine. Mugdha does not get much scope. Johny lever has made his comeback. He is in excellent from. Ditto for Sanjay Mishra. He is Fantastic. Mukesh Tiwari, Vijay Patkar, Ashwini Kalsekar and Atul Parchure lend credible support.
On the whole, All The Best is truly a fair work by director Rohit Shetty. Once again the combo of Rohit and Ajay works with comedy. Really this film is a fun and laughter unlimited. It is worth a watch film.
